We're excited about the opportunity to play some lacrosse this fall! While the details are still in flux, we're moving forward with the hopes that we can get enough players to play and to get up and running in the next couple of weeks!
Our league board has put together a 2020 Fall Ball Season under the current COVID-19 guidelines for youth sports in Washington. Other clubs in our league are also attempting to put teams together with the hopes that we can come together (safely!) in November for a "play day" to wrap up the fall season.
Please read the following information before proceeding with registration below.
TEAMS
Players will play on teams based on the 2020-21 school year
Available for 3/4, 5/6 + 7/8 teams only, no K-2 team at this time
Minimum of 10 players per team to move forward
Maximum of 14 players per team
Multiple teams per age group will be created if we have enough players commit
PRACTICES
Practices will begin the week of 10/12, but start dates may change based on field availability
1-2 days per week, depending on how much field space we can secure
Practices will be held at Phillips 66 Fields in Bellingham (Northwest Soccer Fields)
Teams will practice in pods of 5 players
Players will stay with the same 5 players in their pod for every practice
GAMES
There is the possibility of weekly weekend games with other clubs in our league, to be played in Phase 3 counties, stay tuned for details on a weekly basis
An end of season tournament will be scheduled in November following the state's Return to Play Guidelines
COVID-19 SAFETY
All families will be required to sign a COVID-19 waiver, agreeing to our safety policies and procedures
We will be following our Return to Play safety guidelines, attached here
All players must be suited up before the enter the field, no equipment on the sidelines
Masks must be worn as players are entering the field and when they are on the sidelines
All players will be required to have their temperature taken before the enter the field
No sharing of equipment
No parents on the sidelnes for practices
Coaches will be coaching at a safe distance and will be wearing masks at all times
COVID-19 safety coordinators will be on-site for all practices
No gear rentals available at this time
REGISTRATION
Your spot will not be confirmed until your $25 regitration fee is paid online
If a team reaches capacity (14 players), a waiting list will be formed in hopes of forming a second team
Additional team openings may be filled with new players or players from other league teams, as space allows
If you are waitlisted and a second team is not formed, your registration fee will be credited to your Spring 2021 registration or refunded (non-BWL players)
You will be emailed with confirmation of your team/waitlist position by October 11th
Registration closes 10/9
COST
A $25 registration fee is required at the time of registration
This registration fee will be applied to the cost of the fall season, if we proceed
If we do not proceed with the fall season, this fee will be applied to your account as a credit for Spring 2021
Total season cost will be approximately $100 per player
Actual season cost will be determined once we lock in our practice field times
If the season ends early due to safety concerns, you will receive a credit for a portion of the season towards Spring 2021 registration
No refunds/credits to due weather-related cancellations
